Travel. Science. Love. In One Podcast.
The Myth Begins Here
I’ve been kissed in Buenos Aires at dawn, drenched in Bogotá rain, entranced by Mozart in Vienna, and completely undone in the Lisbon night. Every city rewires me. When you travel at the pace I do, your nervous system stops assuming—there’s no autopilot—every face, every street, every touch is a jolt forward into a future self.

About The Nomad
Hello and welcome.
It’s so good to have you here with me. I hope you’ve been walking tall with your head held high, and if not, well, maybe you’ve been shuffling along like a bewildered penguin in flip-flops—or perhaps you’ve just been standing still, staring into the middle distance, wondering why the hell your brain replayed that awkward conversation from three years ago—but hey, you’re here now, and that’s what counts.
This is Naked Myth.
My name is Vaughn.
Tonight, all that has passed through me in Amsterdam, Bogotá, Sydney, Céret, Valletta,
Lisbon, Mexico City, Vienna, Madrid, and Buenos Aires is converging with the
echoes coming from the pulsing benevolence up ahead.
When you’re bouncing from city-to-city, traversing countries and continents every couple of months, every new place keeps you aligned with a benevolent future rediscovering itself through touch.
When your mouth finds another, future version of itself on someone else’s, there’s this electrifying rush, this outrageous amount of voltage from meeting yet another one of these fiercely beautiful people who are helping you light up the edges of the path pointing you forward.
Travel sharpens you because it removes the continuity of habit. In your hometown, the brain goes on autopilot—you know the curve of every streetlight, the weight of every door—but when you travel, especially at the breakneck pace I do, your nervous system stops assuming.
People like this gorgeous creature are my benevolence rewards.
The cosmos absolutely loves to bring these people in, to unlock what can only emerge in tandem—what’s happening to me right now in steamy downtown Buenos Aires, having just left the underground club—this summer night on the street, somewhere between now and dawn, the sweat on our skin helping me turn into something more, her hand on my cheek accelerating the arrival of my future self, that’s on the other side of this kiss.
Naked Myth is a travel podcast that celebrates this benevolent intelligence emerging in the world’s most unexpected places. Each episode explores the extraordinary encounters that make nomadic life awe-inspiring and disorientating—drawing on neuroscience, quantum mechanics, and cutting-edge psychology in trying to decipher them. These raw, sensual, often humorous, reflections are doing their best to capture the essence of these fiercely beautiful people and experiences—in the hope of uncovering what truly matters. I can tell you one thing with complete certainty, though. The intelligence behind the lingering hugs, deepest laughter, and best sex is the same intelligence we could be using in confronting life.
